Why We Do This Two folk traditions, one room It started with musicians who already play together: different stages, different nights, never one room. Nordic and Thai folk traditions do the same thing in different languages: they carry a place's identity in a tune anyone can learn. Putting them on one stage isn't a stretch. It's overdue. Thai Nordic Folk Festival is a non-profit community night, put together by volunteers and musicians with the Thai-Nordic Association. Nordic and Thai on equal footing, on stage and in the room: neither is a garnish on the other. We believe music is the simplest way to bring Nordic and Thai culture closer. Won MTV Asia's Project Aloft Star Amplified in 2015 fronting Jenny & The Scallywags, ahead of 200+ Southeast Asian bands. Constantine Noble Denmark · Songwriter 20:20 Danish singer-songwriter and composer, based in Bangkok. Emagenza Award winner, with singles on Danish national radio (DR P4) and recording sessions in Nashville. Venn Thailand · Headline band 21:20 Independent Thai alternative-folk band, active since 2020, with two albums released via Warner Music Thailand.
